This series four filming pic makes me SO HAPPY.




YAY NAOMI AND EFFY! ngl, I kind of ship it - although not as much as Naomi/Emily and Katie/Effy, obvs - but mostly I just love them as BFFs. And there was already that shot of them in deckchairs together from the trailer, so that means at least double the amount of scenes they shared last series! I really hope they're good friends this series; I think Naomi needs someone she can talk to who isn't Emily, and Effy needs a friend that understands her more than Pandora does. Mostly I've been VERY apprehensive of series four, which hasn't been helped by the godawful novel and promo pictures, but this is the first thing in a while that's made me really happy and excited about the new series.

(I got this from lilykatlove, and I'm kind of annoyed that the comments on the post there, which relate to the other filming pictures from Skins-Fr.com, are VERY spoilery for Effy's storyline. :( Didn't want to know that much!)

That might be wise; it wasn't long ago that someone posted spoilers uncut in GIANT BLUE FONT (which luckily I managed to avoid reading!). And yet I want to keep watching communities so I don't miss the good stuff. DILEMMA.

Yeah, I guess it was speculation, but it at least points in the general direction of Effy's storyline and it's more than I wanted to know. (I'm actually quite interested in her potential storyline though, so I'm not too bothered.)

Yeah, I never really bought the characters' friendship in series three so I really hope they remedy that in the next one. That's one of the things I loved about the first gen, that they were genuinely friends.

I'm an absolute spoilerphobe so I'm glad I generally avoid communities about Skins altogether. I don't miss out on decent news anyway because YOU LOVELY PEOPLE notify me when awesome is around.

Haven't checked the LKL post yet, but I did notice that the lj-cut on the post stated the pics may be spoilery, and there's not much that can be done in the manner of moderating comments if they don't violate the comm rules (which don't currently say anything about spoilers). I think we're going to set up some rules on that as soon as I can check with the other mods, but yeah, sorry. On the other hand... : ( I don't like when people are annoyed. Felt the need to act as defender of the comm. for a sec. Now excuse me while I go check out these pics everyone's squeeing over!

Oh, dude, I wasn't trying to ~condemn the community or anything. I realise I took a risk by clicking on something labelled "vaguely spoilery", it just turned out a bit more spoilery than I expected, that's all. Totally my fault! But I do think an official spoiler policy would be a good idea as we're in the run-up to the new series.

No, it's totally all good dude! I hope you didn't think I was chastising you or anything. We didn't need much of a policy surrounding spoilers before, but as the comms evolved, it's made itself evident that there needs to be a policy now. Trust me, we'll get on that right now! : )

Naomi is such a gift of a character.

Callum got me series three for Christmas. Watching it back, I love how much of an outsider she is, but how much she latches onto this... weird, accidental bunch of odd characters. One of my favourite little moments is when they do a close up on Naomi phoning Emily, and the only numbers she has in her phone are the main cast.

She's brilliant, and I love it when they pair her up with the characters, one on one. Naomi and Effy outside the club, noting the similarity of their situations, is brilliant. And she's hilarious with Cook.
