If this doesn't get renewed I WILL go all Alpha on the Fox executives

I was too tired to post about this yesterday, but OMGOMGOMGDOLLHOUSE.

Holy shit, Claire has suddenly become the most interesting character on the show. I mean, all season they've been faffing around with Echo's burgeoning self-awareness and then BAM, Claire finds out she's a doll! (I, uh, missed how exactly she found out; I watched it at like 1am). And now I need a second season in which Claire is a series regular, because how does she deal with that information? How would you even begin to process that you're not real?

I really, really hope that isn't the last we'll see of Mellie/November/Madeline, but I'm guessing it will be. :( I liked her! But I'm glad that Paul got her out of there. I'm confused, though - wasn't she meant to be some sort of hardened criminal? Every time we've seen her (here and in 'Needs') she's seemed all... nice. Damn, I want more Madeline backstory and I know we'll never get it.

Alan Tudyk has really surprised me, I have to say. When I first heard he was playing Alpha I couldn't see it at all, but how awesome was he? Better than Dushku in the Alpha & Omega scenes, although she didn't suck too hard. I KNEW she was going to hit him instead of Caroline, but I still cheered when she did. The only thing I HATED about that whole thing was Paul saving Caroline's wedge. :| I mean, the awesome part was Caroline saving herself, so why did they have to fall back on the ridiculous boy-saves-girl cliché? Lame.

I LOVED Topher and especially how he talked to Paul like he's a complete moron, because obviously, he is. Another point I'm confused on, though: back in 'Needs', didn't real!Victor say something about being trapped in his brain, unable to control his body, or something like that? Because that would go along with what Paul said about souls, but I'd be honestly amazed if a Joss show had people with souls. (I know, I know, Buffy, but this is much more real-world based, so I'd expect it to espouse Joss's actual worldview. You wouldn't expect God to come up, would you?) IDK, maybe it's the influence of the other writers.

I keep thinking 'ooh, I wonder where they'll take [plot point/character/theme] next season?' and then having to remind myself that we probably won't get one. :(

Mellie had a daughter, I don't know if she was really a hardened criminal. I think that was just one of her imprints that turned up in the system. And I think Claire first got all ~SUSPICIOUS~ when Dominic called her Whiskey and then someone asked if she had always wanted to be a doctor. I DON'T KNOW, SHE'S ALWAYS LURKING AND NOW I DON'T REMEMBER DETAILS.

But anyway, OMG Echo is seriously the LEAST INTERESTING PERSON ON THAT DAMN SHOW. Everybody else is so awesome (except Paul, see: moronface syndrome) and it's so sad we probably won't be seeing more of those characters. I WANT SIERRA ON MY TV EVERY WEEK. And Dr. Fred the broken doll totally stole the episode while Alpha babbled about Gods. Everything about her storyline was so haunting, right down to Topher programming her to hate him.

Ohhh, if it was one of November's imprints in the system that'd make sense (or, well, not so much - wouldn't the Dollhouse be better at keeping that stuff under wraps?).

Echo is basically made of fail at this point. If the Caroline wedge had been destroyed and she'd stayed as Omega, on the run or something, that would have had potential for awesomeness, but wiping her back to Echo was kind of lame.

This episode really made me crave long, plotty gen all about Dr Fred, and I never read gen! But she's so interesting, and we'll probably never see her again. :(

Yeah, but when November's alter-egos started showing up, they magically went poof too. So even if those were imprints or her actual person using different names for whatever reason, the Dollhouse must have some control over that info. I guess because they have people on the inside? *dances around possible plot hole LOL*

Echo really is made of fail. Earlier in the season she had the OMG SHE REMEMBERS! thing going for her, but now we already know her brain is ~special~ and always retains a little something, so there's really not a lot of OMG to Echo saying "Caroline" in the end. It doesn't help that part of her storyline was basically stupid Paul being obsessed with saving her. Poor Eliza.

Also, OMGGG plotty gen <3
