Question!

If you could cast any reasonably-famous British comedy actor as JJ's dad, who would it be?

Good question - how about Neil Pearson from Drop the Dead Donkey? He doesn't quite have the curls but is brown haired and blue eyed! And I always kind of liked him.

Know who I mean?

LOL, I actually didn't (never seen Drop the Dead Donkey), but I just Googled him and he looks like he could work as JJ's dad.

God, showing my age there a bit!! Actually, the college director, Harriet, played Sally in Drop the Dead Donkey, so that'd be a nice tie in.

Did you have any thoughts on it? Do you think we're likely to see JJ's dad this year?! I thought we might be more likely to see Naomi's...

I have no idea if we'll see JJ's dad - I wouldn't have thought it's very likely, but you never know. I was mainly wondering because I thought I might include him in something I'm planning on writing, but I wasn't sure how to picture him.

Alan Davies would be good - he is also a natual at the foot in mouth thing JJ does. And curls!

Oh, excellent choice! I could really see that.

My gut instinct says Richard Coyle, but maybe he's not quite old enough?

You're probably right re. his age, but I just Youtubed him (I wasn't sure who he was) and OMG, he'd be PERFECT!
