Question for anyone who knows more about 80s fashion than me, i.e. probably everybody: what sort of fug trousers would Katie Fitch wear in 1988? I need a specific type. Context, lol:

Between kisses they manage to remove the rest of their clothing, Katie getting tangled up for a moment as she kicks off her [ugly 80s trousers].

(The 80s AU is currently full of stuff like this, bits that need to be filled in, but I'm making progress!)

Any ideas?

In other news, the glorious series four footage has cemented a few things in my mind:

- I really hate Naomi's hair. :( HOWEVER, I am willing to forgive it if she continues to make out with Emily in corridors. Or anywhere, really.

- I still don't like Cook. Or, rather, I don't like his disproportionate amount of screentime and the way he manages to get involved in EVERYONE else's storylines. DNW more of that this year.

- Katie Fitch is my FAVOURITEST WOOBIE EVER, OH MY GOD.

Her faaaaace! WOOBIE! (LOL, I'm such a fucking hypocrite; I universally hate the woobification of every male character ever, and yet woobie!Katie is my favourite thing in the entire world.) I can't believe how much I fucking love her now considering I was completely indifferent at first. Kaaaaatie!

- Katie and Effy are MFEO. I don't think I could physically ship them harder! At this moment in time, at least, they've edged out Naomi/Emily as my Skins OTP. A combination of Bedlam + writing them myself + gifs like the one above has completely done me in, guys.

I'm right with you there on Lily's hair. I kinda liked it in he e4 interview thing, but I'm not crazy about how they styled it for the show. Love Kat's hair though. And Megan's, they looks so different now.
And you should really write something for apocabigbang. Though I have to admit, while I'm curious about Katie as a character, and liked Effy in series 1 and 2 (series 3, not so much, apart from her friendship with Panda), and the idea of Katie/Effy is really intriguing, they are both not my favourites, and I ship Effy/nobody more than anything else. Maybe I'd ship them more, had the show given us more material, like Gossip Girl does with Blair and Serena. Add to that the fact that Skins actually has a very canon and amazing girl couple, so my brain is pretty much occupied with that. lol, is it bad that I just kinda outed myself as someone who's still not totally sold on Katie and series3!Effy?

However, I don't care, really, I'll happily read Effy/Katie destructing the world or something, cause I do like them, and my love for your writing will do the rest and fully convince me to read whatever you come up with.

And Freddie managed to frustrate me in just the two seconds he was featured in the video, which probably isn't a good sign.

LOL it's totally okay to not be that into Katie/Effy! (Or even them as separate characters.) I mean, you're right, canon DOESN'T give us much on them; it's basically a fanon ship that's been made amazing by a couple of really talented writers. But, oh, I love them so! I just have to keep reminding myself that it's not going to become canon, no matter how badly I want it.

Freddie didn't bother me too much in the video, probably because I was too busy being annoyed at all the Cook.

Yeah, but at least we pretty much know that Cook's episode is in the first four, whereas Freddie's most likely isn't, thus the big difference in screen amount. But I do hope there's only a fair amount of Cook in the other episodes and he isn't all over them, but at least he does seem marginally more likeable/relatable this series than he was in the last.

I thought I'd heard that Freddie's was the first ep? (I can't remember where I heard that, so no idea if it's been verified or not.)

Well, it's still all speculation at this point, but seeing as Skins is filmed in blocks and Kaya was hardly on set the first two months - and I just assumed that she'd play a big part in Fredster's episode - it would be possible that his episode is somewhere between 5-7 ... and hopefully he'll share with someone as well, just to minimize the amount of fail he could inflict on an episode mostly centred on him.

Agree with the Katie thing, I've become a fan more from fandom than the actual show so now, when I watch back the series, I actually love her...and we can still dream about Effy/Katie *mind wanders to a happy place*
