It's my six year LJ-versary today. Six years! OMGWTFPOLARBEAR, as we used to say in 2004. And this is my 1536th post, which makes it an average of 256 posts per year, AND I'm four comments away from having received 10,000 comments! BONKERS.

I have to say, this last year on LJ, in Skins fandom, has been the best. I ♥ you all so much.

In other news, I saw the Skins novel in Waterstone's today and oh my God, the urge to buy it was overwhelming. Even though I know it's shit! I don't know what's wrong with me. It had a three for two sticker on it, and if I'd been able to find two other books I wanted to buy I probably would have bought it. I think someone needs to talk me off a ledge here.

Three weeks until series four, guys! For ages I've been more apprehensive than excited, but now I'm going into full-blown squee mode. :D It's going to be amazing, y/y?

Congratulations on the 6 years! And you're almost definitely going to get 4 comments so ditto there. Skins is my first fandom and although I haven't yet figured out how to properly contribute I'm very grateful that you have because your stories and whatnot have been incredibly entertaining and brilliant.

LOL but it's not even entertainingly bad, it's just cringeworthy! Oh, let's face it, it won't be long before I cave.

I almost did the exact same thing in Waterstones too! I think the only thing that saved me was the thought at the back of my head that if it was really that shit, I could SO get it cheaper of Amazon, and Amazon hasn't really been waving it in my face, so so far I've managed :p

Heh - you're totally going to cave, I can tell. Er, or something slightly more supportive. But hey, I think it's a time for a lack of purchasing will - I bought loads of CDs yesterday, several of which I'm not entirely sure I really wanted or needed, just because they were 2 for £10 and my brain went "OOO BARGAIN." Stupid brain.

Oh, I totally will. And, my brain does that exact same thing - "If I get three for two I'm saving money! Even though I wouldn't have spent that £16 if it weren't for the offer." *smites brain*
