My BFF lazy_daze, who's in Supernatural fandom, has always said that hiatus was her favourite time to be in fandom because getting new canon every week is kind of stressful. I never really understood that before - hiatus is self-evidently long and agonising! - but now that we're eleven days away from getting series four, I TOTALLY GET IT.

I have a bunch of fic ideas in my head for stories set post-series three, and now I feel like if I can't write them in the next eleven days I'll never be able to write them at all, what with imminent jossing from new canon. There's this one Katie/Emily/Naomi fic that's been floating around my head for months (a long sequel to this ficlet), but now it's never going to happen unless I go AU, and I'm not really a fan of AUs that just disregard bits of canon. :( But I am going to try and get a Katie/Effy fic done before the next series starts; I've written post-series three K/E a couple of times now but I don't think I've ever quite got it right, so I'm going to try and change that. You know, before it's too late. ;)

BTW, shameless pimping: I'm still offering to write Skins fic for help_haiti here, if you want to bid. There's also a list of other people offering Skins stuff here. :D

Hee, Firebird is playing as I type! I am tentatively fond of the album but it hasn't blown me away yet, but I have only been idly listening in the background as I do other things.

OMG, good luck in what's left of your hiatus!! SPN hiatus is nearly over, too, which I think is a good thing actually despite my self-professed hiatus love - the rest of fandom seems to get rather restless o.O! Also I disliked the last ep a lot so I am actually eager - super apprehensive, but still eager - to move on. ANYWAY.

When the next season starts I am sure you will be overcome by enough plotbunnies to not worry about the languishing ones you never got time to write :P

I'm not blown away by the album either yet but I think I like it better than the last Guillemots album? It's nice, but not AMAZING.

I... can't even remember the last ep of SPN, lol. When's it coming back?

I probably will! But then there's also the fact that this is the last series we'll get with these characters and I'm also super worried about INEVITABLE FANDOM DEATH once the series ends. D:

Aaah, I liked Red a lot more than you did so I would say at the moment it's good but not better :D

The last ep was the one where Ellen and Jo died and the whole thing was lame and depressing and faily and ugh.

FANDOM DEATH IS THE SCARIEST THING EVER :(( It's why I want a s6 so baaaad. WHAT ELSE AM I MEANT TO DO WITH MY LIFE, etc!

We'll just have to FIND NEW FANDOMS. D: (Typo: fan doms, heh.) I secretly hope that Naomi and Emily break up at the end of the series just so there'll be lots of fix-it fic. :D

IT DID SUCK. :/ also, forgot to say - it comes back this Thurs/Fri! eep! I am mostly unspoiled for the rest of the season but nervous.

I DUN WANNA FIND A NEW FANDOM, I LIKE WHERE I AM! But yeah. I will have to move on one day I guess?? Scary thought!

At least your characters DYING at the end of canon, whenever that is, isn't a very real concern D:

Ooh, that IS soon! I'm kind of excited for new SPN. :D

I guess when we move on it'll be natural, so we'll just be excited about whatever shiny new fandoms we find ourselves in!

I really think you should write the K/N/E fic as a sequel to the ficlet, because the ficlet was just so spot on! Plus you write well. Lol, no pressure. Looking forward to your Katie/Effy now though!

Ah, thanks! Honestly, I do really want to write the K/E/N fic but I know it'll be jossed by series four. Plus I've tried to write it before and it didn't really work for whatever reason. Hopefully the Katie/Effy will be more successful!
