I need a Doctor Who icon.
Is it weird that I loved that Amy chose Rory even though I don't actually like Rory all that much? From the beginning I felt sure that she'd choose the Doctor, but I liked how they flipped it and made her choose the Doctor's world because of Rory. And that they flipped it again and made them both dream worlds.
I think I liked it because I'm not really a fan of Doctor/companion romance, I prefer their relationships just to be friendshippy (which was why Donna was such a breath of fresh air after Rose and Martha - even though I still loved Martha the most), but then again I also don't really like the companions to have other romantic interests. :/ I could do without Rory hanging around, tbh - he's quite funny sometimes, but I think I like the Doctor/Amy dynamic without him. It would have been interesting if he'd really died, although kind of a downer.
ANYWAY, I loved this episode, I loved Rory's stupid ponytail and Amy pretending to have the baby and the Doctor's one-armed jumper. I even liked the hints of emo!Doctor - it gave him continuity with Ten without going as overboard on the emo as Ten tended to do, so I approve.

Also whilst I like that she chose Rory he is nowhere NEAR as hot as her. She could do better :p

I miss Donna SO MUCH. She was awesome, and deserved a much better ending than she got.

Yknow how at the very end, the Doctor sees a reflection of the Dream Lord when he looks at himself in that mirrored surface? Well, in most shows that would just be him having a flashback and going all emo about himself.
But with this show, I wondered if maybe ... the current world they're in is still a dream? The Doctor seemed to hesitate, like he was going to point it out to the others but since there was no life-threatening danger there was no urgent need to.
Just a thought, cos it kinda ties in with the idea (I think it was yours, may have been bothered's though) that when the Doctor came back to reassure Amy in episode 5, when she can't see and thinks he's left her, that he's actually a different Doctor, a future version, come back to make sure she knows he's there with her even when he physically isn't. And that's just the sort of thing a dream would do ...
Over-analysis completed.

Heh, whose LJ did you think you were commenting on? ;) It wasn't my idea, although it is an interesting one. I'm not sure if the world they're in is a dream, but I wouldn't be surprised if the whole Dream Lord thing somehow tied in with the cracks in the wall and everyone forgetting.

It's only ever really you and excited_rainbow who do Who stuff, so I got confused I guess. Silly billy.
And I don't think it's definately what's happening or anything, but there's enough of a chance to make it interesting and worth considering. If you're watching a show and you know that the writers are clever and attentive to detail, then almost every detail could mean somthing, so I like to keeps my eyes open.
