I'm not sure who I'll support if (probably when) England are out. There's a few I've ended up quite liking but until then I'll have to be the quintessential masochistic England supporter and cheer on our boys till the end.
I'm not expecting anything though... not completely insane, I hope.

Yeah definitely! I've quite enjoyed Mexico (only because of the atmosphere when their supporters are around). I also quite like Portugal (although, probably only because I love the country) and Holland. The overall quality of games will probably remain sketchy until the knock-out period from the groups are over. Grrr it's so frustrating supporting England!

Lol - it was pretty fucking abysmal wasn't it? And there's not NO chance. England MAY pull their socks up and if they do win they should still qualify. Seriously though - where was Rooney the ENTIRE game? They needed Walcott there for sure /Arsenal-related bias.
I think I should get another team as well. Maybe Argentina because since we went on holiday there my brother's adopted it. He actually went to school in an Argentina shirt today. I'm surprised he didn't get lynched. I mean it was a primary school, but still.

I don't tend to back many European teams, really. I usually root for the underdogs, but that always means inevitable disappointment.

Ahaha, I contemplated staying up to watch the England match and then decided not to since I'll be staying up tonight to watch the Aussie's play ( and probably lose to) Ghana.

After watching group D I can't see the Socceroos progressing to the next phase. It'll probably be Ghana and Germany. England might beat Slovenia, since when the US lifted their game in the second half they were all over them and were the much better side. IDK. England are my official second team, but I never contemplated BOTH my teams would be eliminated in the group stages. :(

Who else to support though? As long as my most hated team (Uruguay) lose and lose easily because the thought of them winning the cup makes me stomach turn.

Oh, and GO THE WALLABIES. I mean, yeah yeah, world cup and all, but I'm a rugby nutter and I'm confident we'll beat you, shitty scrum or no
