Ahhhhhhhhhh Yuletide nominations are open! *runs around like a headless chicken*

I think I'm nominating TWO separate Gaga-related fandoms, ahahahaha. POSSIBLY I AM RIDICULOUS. The Telephone video for one, and then I'm trying to figure out how to list the fandom if I want to request Lady Gaga/Jo Calderone fic. Ya rly. Please tell me I'm not the only one who ships it!

(Also, I'm so glad they've tweaked the fandom eligibility criteria so it means that new-but-massive fandoms like Inception won't sneak in.)

So, who's doing Yuletide this year? What fandoms are you nominating? Are you as excited as I am?? :D

I'm doing it! This is my first ever year so I am not entirely sure how it works, tbh, but I nominated Henry IV and The History Boys film. I hope that one's rare enough because it neeeeeeds more fic. Unlike Inception, haha.

YAY! I'm sure you'll have fun with your first Yuletide, it's the best ficathon EVER. It can be kind of confusing at first but there are lots of helpful people on the Yuletide comm to explain everything. I'd imagine The History Boys is rare enough to qualify - they seem to be basing eligibility on the number of fics in AO3 and there are only 28 History Boys fics, so I can't imagine that would put it over the threshold.

How exciting! I have no idea what I'm going to end up writing because I don't know how it works but I'm sure I'll manage. :D

Basically once nominations are over you can sign up to write in as many of the nominated fandoms as you like (not sure if there's a minimum), and you get to specify character combinations that you can write. Your assignment is randomly generated and will most likely include only one of the fandoms you offered to write, but the request you match on will only include characters you've offered.
