(no subject)

As you may or may not have noticed, I've been COMPLETELY FAILING at that Holiday Fic Request thing, and I didn't even get that many requests in the first place. IDK why I thought I could take this on at the same time as Yuletide. :( I will get them done eventually - probably, maybe, hopefully - but don't expect them to be, like, on time. Sorry, I suck.

In other news, X FACTOR FINAL TONIGHT. I don't think I've ever been this excited for an X Factor final, even though a) Cher is obviously going out first, and b) her celebrity duet is going to suck. Fucking Will.i.am. Also, I'm hearing rumours that they're not going to do their audition songs or a repeat of their favourite performance? If this means no Turn My Swag On I'm gutted; I've been looking forward to Cher singing that all week. HOWEVER, I also heard that she's going to be singing Whip My Hair - albeit as a mash-up with Boom! Shake The Room, lolwtf - and I've been praying she'd do that all series, so I'm happy! Although not so much the mash-up part. But even Cher singing Whip My Hair for half a song is going to be awesome!

ETA: Okaaay, so apparently Whip My Hair isn't happening. :( Instead we're getting a mash-up of 369 by Cupid ft. B.o.B. (which I don't know) and Get Ur Freak On. WAT. :/ And then her duet with Will.i.am is a mash-up of Where Is The Love? and I Gotta Feeling, because those are appropriate songs to sing together. "People killing, people dying... fill up my cup! Mazel tov!"

As much as I am excited about this final I was more psyched about Strictly! I am so torn to who should be in the final- I think Kara, Matt and Pamela deserve it a slightly bit more than Scott and Gavin!

Back to the X Factor I can't really understand it- Matt gets to sing with Rihanna, Rebecca is singling with Christina Aguilera, One Direction is singing with Robbie Williams? and Cher is singing with Will I am? How does that compare to the previous acts?

Lol about the Mash Up but I agree with you completely the songs don't go together at all well in theory anyway will shall see!

What did you think of X Factor? I'm disappointed, but not exactly surprised. Gah, I would've liked her to have gone out with a bang at least.

I'm really into Strictly as well! I want Kara to win, and think Pamela should make the final and Gavin should definitely go. Not sure who else out of Scott and Matt should go through, they seem pretty equal.

I wasn't expecting much to be honest and I was only half watching it but I do hove to say that even with my low expectations- I never expected it to be that bad!

It was like it was fixed because Cher had rubbish songs and a rubbish person to sing with. In comparison the others had semi-good songs and people to sing with. The only thing I really enjoyed was the Rebecca/Christina duet because I thought they sung extremely well together. In the end it seemed quite obvious they wanted to get Cher booted off next and it really wasn't anti-climatic at all! I've heard that she is going to get signed anyway I guess that's a good thing?

As for your Strictly comment I think that Matt is more of a natural and the fact that he has a gymnastic background really helps him! I also think that both Natalie and Aliona are amazing teachers and dancers and I think they're rivals too. I think they both know how close they are to the final and I think they want to know more than anyone who is going on top. It makes me want a fic to suddenly exist where Aliona and Natalie have a dance off to see who is the better dancer and then they do a group dance together and end up getting into a passionate embrace if you get what I mean? ;o) God I have no idea what's wrong with me- I'm turning everyone I like into so random couples which are never going to happen... but I can still dream right?

Ooo off topic: Have you seen the Christmas Special of Community yet? I have a whole post dedicated to it- that's how much I am in love with it!

Cher got well and truly fucked over tonight. Will.I.Am? And those songs?

Seriously. I'm gutted, because with the right songs she actually might have been able to pull it out the bag (especially because everyone else was mediocre), but she had no chance with what she was given. :(
