Well, today sucked out loud. We had a big scary meeting a work where we found out that there are going to be "a number of" job losses (how many??) but we won't find out who's been made redundant until Monday. So this is what I'll be doing all weekend: fretting.

This, of course, is a result of those fucking bastard Tories and the spineless Lib Dems who prop them up, and all their government cuts. Personally I think that Cameron, Clegg and Osborne should all lose their jobs too so we can "share the burden".

Shit, that's terrible. I hope things work out all right. (And, honestly, did they have to wait that long in between telling you there is prospective bad news and the actual bad news. That's sort of sadistic.)

Thanks, I hope it does too. I keep trying to figure out whether I'm expendable or not but honestly I don't have a fucking clue. And yeah, I'm glad to be forewarned so I can ~prepare for the worst~ but five days is just unnecessary. This is going to be the longest weekend ever.

Wow that really sucks about your job - also it seems a bit harsh of them to tell you so far in advance. I really hopen your job's safe anyway.

And oh GOD, the fucking Tories. I mean, I hated them before but in a sory of abstract way - they were shits, but they couldn't hurt me, and now the Lib Dems have just given them their support to completely dismantle the country - I've lost count of all the things they're doing that's worrying me.
Also as a student I'd like to point out what complete bullshit it is when they talk about it being 'fairer', because getting rid of EMA and TRIPLING fees could never prevent a poor person getting into uni, and if it did, it's only because they wilfully misunderstand the concept of a lifetime's worth of debt.
And don't even get me started on this complete ballsing up of the NHS, that they're apparently selling ALL the forests (mostly to timber companies), public sector job cuts that will be miraculously absorbed by the wonderful private sector etc etc etc./rant.

Sorry about that, but they do make me angry - hope everything works out :)

Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed! But even if I get to keep my job it sucks that others will lose theirs. I really like everyone at work and hate that at least some of us will be fucked over.

Oh my God, the Tories are the fucking WORST. I can't even. I hadn't heard that about the forests but it doesn't surprise me remotely. And I can't believe the Lib Dems have completely sold out and are letting them do this! As a (foolish, naive) Lib Dem voter, THIS IS NOT WHAT I VOTED FOR.

And yeah, that's really rubbish - I hope not too many people will be losing their jobs anyway.

And yeah, I voted Lib Dems too, it's just depressing really. I also hate how the Lib Dems are basically acting as a shield and taking all the flak for Tory policies, because they're still Tory policies you know?
