Oh man, it's KILLING me that the cricket is only on Sky (which I don't have), because this match sounds fucking amazing and listening to it on the radio just isn't the same. The highlights aren't on for HOURS and I would really like to see those two run outs, plz. ajfhkdsf the Ashes = one of my absolute favourite sporting events, AND WE MIGHT ACTUALLY WIN. \o/

Also, Dan Radcliffe taking the piss out of Geoffrey Boycott over the lunch break = EPIC LOLZ.

CRIIIIIIIIICKET. I have one RL friend who likes cricket, but she's really only cares about one dayers, so she'd be a bit useless right now. But [livejournal.com profile] torak33 look at it this way- we've dominated the WORLD for over ten years (1995 till...late last year, I think). Everytime a team would play Australia, a match that was even competitive was a rarity. Sure, there was 05, but that was a special bunch of English crickets and they couldn't build on the momentum. Now, on any given day, South Africa, India, Sri Lanka, Australia and England are all capable of beating each other. That's fantastic. Good for cricket that things are competitive. If Australia starts to lose on a regular basis, I'll be back supporting them hardcore (I can't help but root for the underdog, I guess.) I will be hoping they get up for the one dayers, because losing TWO series to England just won't do.

Everyone should care about cricket. The OTHER PEOPLE are freaks, you guys, not us.
