- Huh, it's finale night. I'm sad that I'm not more sad about it, you know? I'm really not expecting to like it at all, and mostly I just want it to be over with already. I just hope the fandom sticks around and people try and make sense of this mess; I know

jengrrrl and I already have plans to collaborate on some sort of reimagining of series four.

- My massive crush on Siobhan Magnus continues to grow exponentially each week. I love how one minute she's being all super dramatic female Adam Lambert and the next she's adorkably squinting at the camera in her giant geek glasses. LOVE. If American Idol is going to insist on being two hours long it really just needs to be one hour of Siobhan singing and one hour of Crystal. Oh, maybe Didi can get five minutes. Everyone else can go home. (Apparently the theme next week is going to be TEEN IDOLS, LOL FOREVER. I want Siobhan to do something awesome with MMMBop, seeing as she's such a big Hanson fan she has a tattoo inspired by them. Did I mention that I love her?)

- There's a new guy who started at my work this week and he looks EXACTLY LIKE ZAC EFRON. I kind of want to surreptitiously take a photo so other people can see, but I figure that would be creepy. Then I thought I'd Facebook-stalk him, because that's a more socially acceptable brand of creepy, but his profile picture doesn't really show the Zefron resemblance at all.

- This is a really good post about Why Lady Gaga Is The Awesomest Ever. Also, I'm so happy that

gaga_beyonce exists. Brand new OTP!

- OMG, someone just brought cakes into the office. My day is made!

I hope Siobhan wins the whole season because she's hilarious (she seems like she's stoned half the time) and she can sing ridiculously well. I also wouldn't mind Crystal Bowersox winning either :) For some reason I'm really looking forward to Disco night (it's inevitable), because I want to see what those two do with it

LOL, Crystal doing disco! You know she'd just turn whatever disco song she chose into an acoustic guitar jam but I'd love to see her try and do proper disco, just for the LOL factor alone. Siobhan can pretty much sing anything so she'd be golden.

A Crystal/Siobhan top two would be awesome and I'd be happy for whoever won, but I think Crystal would probably do better if she didn't win and could just do her own thing. Siobhan would make an awesome winner.

Oh man, I really resisted liking Siobhan at first because she was all kinds of secondhand embarrassment, but girl's got a VOICE. I loved her performance, and then the huge glasses sealed the deal for me. She's adorable. I still also have a soft spot for Didi, whose "Terrified" in the Hollywood rounds basically won me over forever. I also love Crystal, so I'm with you 100%.

I never really felt any secondhand embarrassment with Siobhan, and usually I'm easily embarrassment-squicked. I've loved her since Wicked Game but she just keeps getting even more awesome every week.

Didi is really good, and while she's not quite wowing me yet I think she can get there. I don't know how popular she is but I hope she sticks around for a good long time.

COLLAB \o/ I'll definitely be sticking around for that :) and part f$o what made me love Skins so much was discovering fandom so it'd make no sense for me to leave after s4. For me, s4 will just be the foundations for some pretty awesome shit coming out of fandom so I'm totally sticking around.

Eugh, EUGH, I can't even with Siobhan. I really really want to like her but I just can't. She can sing for sure but I'm not fist-pumping for her y'know? I do quite like Crystal but the surprise for me has been Didi - there seemed to be some big Didi bandwagon after she did 'Terrified' that I just couldn't jump on, but her version of 'Rhiannon' definitely had me sold. So, yeah, I'm waiting for Siobhan to pull something awesome out of the bag (and to shave her hair back into a mohawk because LOL FOREVER, that is an artist I can get behind).

Seriously though, I completely get why people wouldn't like her. I do like Didi but I'm not crazy about her yet, probably because she seems to be naturally low-key.

If the top 2 isn't Siobhan & Crystal then something is wrong with the world. What I don't get is all the judges' love for Lee, who sounds so disgustingly Nickelback/Hinder-ish that I want to stick something sharp in my ears every time he starts his scratchy crooning.

Yes! I've never understood why according to the judges it doesn't matter when he's pitchy, even though he's pitchy a lot. I guess they're trying to find a new Daughtry or Cook but he falls woefully short.
