Well, fuck. So Nick Clegg jumped into bed with the Tories and David Cameron is our new PM. (I realise that the deal with the Lib Dems isn't official yet, but Cameron is becoming Prime Minister AS I SPEAK TYPE.) Ugh, I am predictably less than thrilled. I think, though, that really all roads - a minority Tory government, a Lib/Lab coalition, or the Lib/Con coalition we've got - lead to the same thing: another election in a year or so, probably with a Tory majority.

At least for the time being we have some Lib Dems in government. I just hope they stick to their principles.

For the record: I know everyone's tired of Labour and no one likes Gordon Brown or whatever, but I think they've done some AWESOME things in the last thirteen years.

I actually quite liked Gordon Brown, he was solid. Plus, I preferred the Labour policies to the LibDems, who I thought were slightly misguided and away with the fairies... That and the fact that out electoral system is still FPTP, so there was obviously going to either be a Tory victory or a hung parliament. Just bitter about 4 years of Tory power! Don't mean to offend anyone who is equally gutted with the result of Cameron being the PM.
On the plus, the Tories did announce that they would consider a referendum on the electoral reform but who knows whether they will pull through. I do want that to happen but it will mean more hung parliaments in the future! Oh, UK!

Yeah, I was quite sad to see Gordon Brown go! I liked that he was no good at playing the game, because it made him seem more trustworthy than someone like Cameron.

Ugh, I hate the thought of four years of the Tories. So depressing!

Yeah, definitely.. he wasn't a guy for the media.. but at least he was passionate in a more honest way then that creep Cameron! Maaaan I hope there's another election in a year and that the UK will come to their senses! Wishful thinking :)
All depends on whether an electoral referendum actually takes place..
At least the US got it right.. (all ways look on the bright side?)
