Ugh, Sunday.

I'm so bored! And LJ is pretty dead, sigh. Seriously, I expect the highlight of my day will be watching The X Factor results show, which says a lot. :|

Speaking of which, who are everyone's favourites this year? (Come on, I can't be the only one lame enough to spend Saturday night watching this rubbish, can I?) After spending ages being irritated by her I've decided that 'Stacey from Dagenham' is the most ridiculous/adorable person since Meg Prescott, and I love her accordingly. I pray that girl never gets media training. I've also realised that I fancy Lucie quite a lot. I swear last year I never fancied anyone younger than me, and now it's like there are suddenly all these hot eighteen year-olds running around making me feel like a creep. :(

Aside from them, I quite like Joe, and Rachel and Miss Frank are all right. All the over-25s can fuck right off, as can Rikki.

Worryingly, I'm pretty sure that John & Edward have become so bad that they've gone right round to being amazing; I've never laughed so hard in my life as when they actually did the whole "but I thought the old lady dropped it into the ocean in the end" bit. They're at least more entertaining than Lloyd, who is basically just the new Eoghan Quigg.

See... I missed the last hour last night (some people supposedly calling themselves my friends decided we had to go the pub - rude) so I didn't see Stacey or the twins, and my housemate refuses to watch it on the laptop cos 'that's not what the internet's for' apparently,

What did she sing? Good comments?

I don't rate that Jamie dude. I hope that someone will realise that he can't actually sing fairly soon. But the twins still exist so IDK.

I agree on Miss Frank for sure. And I do like Lucie. But it's all about Stacey, really :)

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 05:35 pm (UTC)(link)
Stacey sang 'At Last' and I thought she was really good, but the comments were a bit lukewarm (from Simon at least, but he's so biased towards his own contestants that it's ridiculous).

I actually thought Jamie was quite good this week, but he annoys me too much.

Oh man, Simon just gets more and more obnoxious with the way he over-praises his own acts! Especially seeing as he hardly gives anyone else good comments. I can't wait for one of the over-25s to be a shock early exit.

I think Miss Frank could be in trouble tonight, as could Rachel, when really someone like Rikki ought to go.

Ditto on feeling like a creep - silly 18 year olds and *cough* I've a few years older than you which makes it worse!

And it's true, the twins have reached the stage where they're so bad, they're good! I still want to see them go though...

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Hee, yeah, I only feel a bit creepy about it now but I know it's just going to get worse as I get older!

I wouldn't mind if the twins stayed for a couple more weeks but if they start knocking out people who are actually talented, I'll start to get annoyed.

[identity profile] canon90.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 05:49 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Stacey, I find her hilarious :D She makes me smile every time she's on the screen.

Other favourites would have to be Lucie and Olly. But these favourites will probably change as the weeks go on, they always do!

John and Edward are no doubt entertaining, but I think it's kinda unfair if they keep staying in since it's a singing competition and they CAN'T SING. I reckon they'll be staying in for quite a bit though...

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I guess it is quite unfair that they're staying in, but it's always the way with these shows - it's never *just* about singing. (If it was, Lloyd wouldn't be coasting through on his looks!)

[identity profile] delici0usnight.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
I love stacey. Shes pure comedy genious without meaning to be and totally sweet too.

And yes, I fancy Lucie too and feel a bit wrong about it considering shes 18.

The others: I like Olly and Joe and thats about tbh.

I hate to admit I find the twins entertaining.. they cant sing for shit, but come on they did Britney AND did the stupid talky bit in the middle to each other!

[identity profile] delici0usnight.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 06:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Clearly I meant genius not genious *cough*

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 08:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I still can't believe the twins did the talky bit; probably the most entertaining part of the night! I think it'll wear thin soon but I don't mind them sticking around.

Stacey is amazing - she's like two completely different people when she sings and when she talks, and I love them both!

[identity profile] ems.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 07:06 pm (UTC)(link)
I love Joe, and I love Miss Frank for the squishy little one who is just adorable. Lucie is good but I don't like her yet. I will though. Stacey is fucking AMAZING but I don't really like her voice. I am Rikki's staunch defender, I think he's underrated and has a really nice tone to his voice. And Olly is alright.

John and Edward are hilarious for now but we will see.

I liked Lloyd just for comforting Cheryl because her little face breaks my heart.

Jamie Afro makes me feel sick. Seriously. And Danyl is not even nearly as good as he thinks he is.

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 08:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Jamie Afro makes me feel sick.

Me too! I hate that he always has so much chest hair on display; it makes me feel violated.

I think either Danyl or Jamie is going to be a shock early exit and I can't decide which I'd rather it'd be!

[identity profile] ems.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 08:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Jamie, please. Danyl is a teeny tiny weeny bit talented where as Jamie is just blllllleeeeeeaaaaaaaaagh.

ugh, I SO need bad competitive reality shows in my life right now, but alas, they are non-existent on austrian tv at the moment. I did have my lol-worthy moment reading your post though, since you seem to share your adoration for Stacey with Lisa Backwell.

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 10:16 am (UTC)(link)
OMG, now I want Stacey and Lisa to be friends! They'd be absolutely mental together. XD

[identity profile] andthatisthat.livejournal.com 2009-10-18 10:52 pm (UTC)(link)
John and Edward doing the talky bit from 'Oops!...I Did It Again' = BEST EVARZ. I want them to win now, although largely because everyone else is a bit rubbish apart from Stacey and Miss Frank. I love Rachel, but since she's been bottom two two weeks out of two, the girl is clearly boned.

Lloyd is the evillest evil that ever evilled. And this show has kind of made me hate Cheryl Cole, and I used to really like her.

[identity profile] botherd.livejournal.com 2009-10-19 10:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, Rachel is clearly just cannon fodder at the moment, which is a shame; I think she has lots of potential, but Dannii's given her crap songs. At this stage I don't even think an amazing big band performance next week could save her.

It's sort of making me hate Cheryl too, but the flipside is that it's making me love Dannii, and I never really rated her before.

Very belated imput; WORD to Lucie being hot out of nowhere. My gf, what with her ~pillar of society~ act, furiously argued she must be at least 21. Ha! Welcome to my world.

Yeah, I fought it, but JEdward did make me laugh. It was the bubbles I think.

My gf, what with her ~pillar of society~ act, furiously argued she must be at least 21.

If only! I'm hoping she has a birthday soon, because I feel a lot less creepy about fancying nineteen year-olds (see also: Lily Loveless).

As for John & Edward, it was the talky bit that did me in. I suspect next week they'll go back to just being shit though, because you can't really jump around the stage like an idiot for big band week. (Although I'd love to see them try.)
